Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Deeda. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Deeda.
1. About Deeda
Deeda is an AI companion application operated by Sheket Technologies LLP. Deeda provides a private, non-judgmental conversational companion powered by artificial intelligence.
Important: Deeda is NOT a mental health service, therapy application, crisis helpline, or medical product. Your companion is an AI — it cannot diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or replace professional mental health support. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis helpline immediately.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Deeda. Age is verified at registration using your date of birth.
- You must provide a valid Indian mobile number for OTP verification.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- If we discover that a user is under 18 years of age, their account will be immediately blocked and deleted.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your OTP with anyone.
- You may only create one account per phone number.
- You must provide accurate information during registration. Providing false information, including a false date of birth, is a violation of these terms.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at grievance@sheket.life.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Deeda to:
- Attempt to extract, replicate, or reverse-engineer the underlying AI model, prompts, or system instructions.
- Generate content that promotes violence, self-harm, hatred, or illegal activity.
- Harass, threaten, or harm any person.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Use the service for any commercial purpose, including reselling access.
- Attempt to bypass or disable the safety system, age gate, or any other protective measure.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice.
5. The AI Companion — Important Limitations
Your Deeda companion is an application based on artificial intelligence. You understand and agree that:
- The companion is not a person. It does not have genuine emotions, consciousness, or independent existence outside the app.
- The companion can make mistakes. Its responses are generated by AI and should not be relied upon as factual, medical, legal, or professional advice of any kind.
- The companion is not a substitute for human relationships, professional therapy, medical treatment, or crisis support.
- The companion's responses are shaped by the personality you have configured. If responses feel inappropriate or distressing, you can reconfigure your companion or contact support.
- Deeda does not guarantee that the companion will always respond in a way that feels helpful or appropriate to you.
6. Safety and Crisis Support
Your wellbeing matters to us. Deeda includes a hard-coded safety system that monitors conversations for crisis signals. If a signal is detected:
- The AI response is immediately blocked.
- A Crisis Modal is displayed with helpline numbers — Tele MANAS (14416 / 1-800-891-4416).
- You can dismiss the modal and continue using the app once you confirm you are okay.
This safety system cannot be disabled by any user, administrator, or third party. It is a non-negotiable component of the service.
If you are in immediate danger, please call emergency services or contact a crisis helpline directly. Do not rely on an AI companion in a life-threatening situation.
7. Subscriptions and Billing
7.1 Subscription Tiers
Deeda offers the following tiers:
- Deeda New (Free Trial) — 7 days. Full access. One trial per phone number. No payment required.
- Deeda Base — ₹149/month. Core companion experience.
- Deeda Star — ₹249/month. Enhanced AI model access and additional features.
- Deeda Super — ₹399/month. Full feature access including advanced AI and pattern analysis.
7.2 Payment and Billing
- In-app subscriptions on Android are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not have access to your payment card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes.
7.3 Free Trial
- Each phone number is eligible for one free trial. If you delete your account and re-register with the same number, you will not receive a second trial.
- No payment method is required to start the trial.
7.4 Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play (Android).
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until that date.
- Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account or data.
7.5 Refunds
In-app purchases on Android are subject to Google Play's refund policy.
8. Intellectual Property
- All content, design, software, trademarks, and other materials in Deeda are owned by Sheket Technologies LLP or its licensors.
- Your companion's name, personality, and the conversation history you generate are associated with your account and are not transferable.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.
- The name Deeda, the Deeda logo, and associated brand assets are trademarks of Sheket Technologies LLP.
9. Privacy
Your use of Deeda is governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. By using Deeda, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Deeda is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Sheket Technologies LLP does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
- Sheket Technologies LLP is not liable for any harm arising from your reliance on AI-generated responses.
- Sheket Technologies LLP is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Deeda.
- Sheket Technologies LLP's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from within the app. To do so, open the app, tap the menu icon in the top-left of the chat screen, scroll to Delete Account, and confirm. Deletion is irreversible and erases all your data from our systems.
- Sheket Technologies LLP may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Use, without prior notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use Deeda ceases immediately. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and governing law) will survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of Deeda after changes are notified constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Deeda shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
